Knitting on hold
I am stupidly busy. But that shouldn't stop me knitting. Knitting recommences tomorrow.

Right, I've been knitting a skirt for a girl I haven't met. Which is quite exciting. She was shown a flame skirt from a knitting blog, designed by a girl called Jodi Green, who designs loads of fun stuff I want to knit. Her knitting designs are found here: http://www.jodigreen.ca/k-design.html and the pattern can be found in the Spring 2005 issue of knitty.com which also has loads of fun stuff I want to knit! The original design is a red and yellow design, I have done this in hot hot hot pink and white, which I am assured the recipient will love!
(I know its quite messy looking at the minute, I have some tidying up to do, but i'll get there!)

Sewing Machine
My granny, who was the most wonderful lady, died in June last year. She was fantastic with her hands, and could knit or sew anything. She taught me how to knit, though I didn't do it seriously until after she passed away. My Granda, Joe, got her a sewing machine years ago, and put it into a an old Singer Machine base. I had been looking for a sewing machine, and when I told him that, he insisted I take it along with loads of thread, yarn, needles, crochet hooks.... The first thing I am going to use it for is to sew a lining for the knitted skirt I am working on.

I've had a lot of fun designing and knitting these things. I think the Pacman bag is my favourite, though its pretty much too small to fit much more than my purse and phone (in its little sleeping bag, of course!) I am now knitting a skirt for a friend of a friend. It's adapted from a design from knitty.com. When it is finished, I'll put a pic up, and the link to the original design.
